Daniel qualified for his Bachelor of Business in 1995, majoring in both Accounting and Information Systems. Daniel has worked at Lowe Lippmann since graduating, commencing as an audit graduate, and now at the level of manager. He is a Chartered Accountant and has developed strong auditing skills working in the Audit Services division of Lowe Lippmann.

Daniel’s working experience covers auditing a range of clients from listed companies, to small family operated companies and special investigations. As a manager, Daniel’s responsibility on projects include initial planning, internal control documentation and compliance, verification tests and examinations, through to project reporting on findings and recommendations. Working in a team, his responsibilities include supervising staff and ensuring projects are performed according to the scope of work, deadlines and budgets.

Daniel’s knowledge of Accounting and Auditing Standards enable him to ensure that the work performed complies with the specified requirements.

Daniel’s strength is using data interrogation software to efficiently perform detailed testing.  This has heightened the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of our audits.  This can be used to analyse slow moving stock, or to obtain general ledger transaction files to ensure that there are no erroneous transactions. This type of analysis, examining all records in a data range, is a powerful and very efficient audit tool in large as well as smaller organisations.
