In 1985 Tony Tassone attained a Bachelor of Business and commenced a three year assignment in the building industry. After returning to the profession and gaining exposure in a variety of practice areas, he joined the expanding Audit Services division of Lowe Lippmann Chartered Accountants assisting in the development of the firm’s audit, investigative accounting and litigation support services. In 2001 he became a Partner.

Tony has the expertise to thoroughly investigate and provide solutions to many projects for clients including business valuations, due diligence investigations, examination of financial information in matters of litigation and evaluation of business internal control systems. Tony’s forensic accounting skills are also called upon in the investigation of fraudulent activity against clients.

As Audit Partner, Tony leads a highly specialised team in areas of superannuation auditing and compliance (SMSFs), as well as statutory and management requested financial statement audits. Tony is the appointed external auditor for many trading companies and member based organisations. He takes an active part in the delivery of audit and assurance services.

Tony is recognised by the Australian Taxation Office as the national regulator of SMSFs, as a high volume approved auditor, registering in the top 100 by volume of completed SMSF audits. He is registered, by invitation, in the P2P support services for SMSF audits.

Tony is active in community organisations. He is married , enjoys good food and wine, golf, family life and, above all, being Dad.
